No data protection officer has been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so.
2. General
HT-Works processes personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website, its content and to answer your enquiries. Terms such as “personal data” and “processing” are used as defined in Art. 4 GDPR.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated by an external hosting service provider acting on behalf of HT-Works (processing under Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit the website, information transmitted by your browser is automatically recorded there in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, requested page or file, amount of data transferred, status code, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system.
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest of HT-Works is the secure, stable and error-free provision of the website. Log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for this purpose, unless they are required to investigate a security incident.
4. Contact form, e-mail and phone
If you contact HT-Works by e-mail or phone, we process your details (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number, content of your enquiry) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (the legitimate interest of HT-Works in answering enquiries).
If you use the contact form, we process your name, e-mail address, optional phone number, project type, optional budget range and message to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Ticking the checkbox confirms that you have been informed about this processing. To deliver the form data to the HT-Works mailbox, we use an external service provider as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). Alternatively, you can write to us directly from your own e-mail program.
For its mailbox HT-Works uses Microsoft Outlook.com, a service of Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Processing by Microsoft Corporation in the USA cannot be ruled out. Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR). More information: Microsoft privacy statement.
We store your enquiries until their purpose no longer applies and then delete them, unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. 6 years for business letters under § 257 HGB or up to 10 years under § 147 AO).
5. Fonts, images and video
The fonts, images and video on this website are delivered together with the website and are not loaded from third-party servers. No connection is made to services such as Google Fonts, YouTube or Vimeo. The video only starts when you open it yourself.
6. Cookies, local storage and analytics
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, tracking or advertising services.
The language versions of this website have their own addresses (for example /en/ for English). Nothing is stored on your device for the language choice.
7. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock icon in your browser’s address bar.
8. Storage period
Unless a more specific period is stated in this policy, we keep your data until the purpose of processing no longer applies or you make a justified request for erasure, provided no statutory retention periods apply.
9. Your rights
You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to withdraw any consent given with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
An informal message to HT-Works@outlook.com is sufficient for any request.
10. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is:
